How Airtel's Double Data Offer is 4 Times expensive as compared to JIO Dhan Dhana Dhan Offer

     Jio is now ready to launch their Broadband services in 6 major cities and already successfully launched in Mumbai. Jio want to provide their Broadband services in all major cities by the end of May 2017. As a welcome offer, Jio is giving free usage for 90 days. Also, Jio is charging 4500 as refundable fee for WI-Fi router. According to Jio the plans are from 500 Rs to 5500 Rs.

     Due to the upcoming rival in broadband market, Airtel is now giving double data for their existing broadband plans. You can take an idea from this about Airtel's fear of losing customers. See Airtel is giving double data just because of a new competitor, but they charged us same amount for less data in past.

     The revised plans are for Delhi circle only. Earlier, Rs 899 plan was giving 30 GB of data but now they are giving 60 GB of data. For 1099 Rs plan, they are giving 90GB data which was 50GB earlier. Similarly they are giving double data for Rs 1299, Rs 1499 and Rs 1799 plans. The speed limit for Rs 899 plan is only 16 Mbps and 40 Mbps for Rs 1099 and rest are giving 100 Mbps speed.

     However, they are giving double data this time which is still very costly as compared to reliance Jio. Here we are going to show how Airtel data packs are still costlier than Jio.

Price

Price for Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan is Rs 303 only, Price for Airtel's lowest double dhamal pack is Rs 899. So, By price comparison Airtel is costlier than Jio.

Total Free Data

Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer is giving you a total of 84 GB data while Airtel is giving you only 60 GB. Here Airtel is costing you 3 times more but giving less data as compared to Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer.

Data Fup

Here Jio is putting 1GB per day speed limit, which is good for customers as their data pack will run longer as well as there will be less speed drop. While in case of Airtel, there is no FUP so, if you are watching YouTube videos and in background there are software upgrade then be ready to do one more Rs 899 recharge as it will consume 60GB too fast because of no limit.

Speed Post FUP 

Here Speed after FUP limit on Jio is just 128 Kbps while it is 512 Kbps in Airtel. but do not forget that Jio is mobile internet provider and Airtel is broadband provider. 128 Kbps is good for mobile data surfing while you can see lag on 512 Kbps surfing on laptop.

Cost Per GB

     After comparing Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer with Airtel's Rs 899 plan, we found cost per Gb for Airtel data pack is 15 Rs per GB while it is just Rs 3.7 Per GB. So, after providing double data, Airtel is still many times costlier than Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer.


Conclusion:

Airtel is giving double data offer, but in actual it is still costlier than Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer. Also do not forget Jio Broadband is here which will kick Airtel Broadband out of competition soon. And we hope soon telecom companies will stop charging extra for their services.
